a story about a mouse...

I almost wet myself laughing at the latest post on Old School Acres... Go take a read, but only if you're not naturally squeamish, eating lunch, or shudder at the thought of mice. If you belong to any of those categories don't click on the link or just move quickly along to a sweeter kinder blog.

This story begins with a mouse.

Curlypops aprons...

I am LOVING these aprons made out of vintage teatowels that Curlypops has been making! I think I'm gonna have to get out some of my old vintage teatowels and make some for me too!!

Fifi arrives!!!

Fifi arrived packaged really nicely,
you can see Paisley Jade puts a lot of effort
into making her customers feel really special!

A glimpse of the cuteness that is to come...
my cast looks really ugly, though!

Going through my mind... "She's so sweet! :D"

Look...
You can see why I couldn't resist buying her!

Aimee want's her all to herself!
Don't worry, she's mine... ALL MINE! (evil laugh interspersed!)

Look at the neat note that was inside the parcel!
Thanks Kristy - she's awesome!!!

If you want to adopt your own Paisley Jade creation you can find her shop here and her blog here!

Introducing my newly adopted softie; Fifi

I am so excited, that I'm jumping the gun a wee bit to show you a wee someone who's coming to stay with me...

Fifi

She was created by Paisley Jade and, after seeing Cherry on CurlyPops blog, I knew I had to have one all for myself.

I thought she could be considered an early birthday present. Especially, considering what an awful year I've had. But instead, I've decided she can be a "cast-off" present to myself. I have one week to go till that happens, and 2 months till my birthday... I think it's best to have her sooner rather than later!

If you want to adopt one of Paisley Jade's lovely softies you can do so here and here. Good luck, her creations are becoming very popular!

idea; knitted dish scrubbies

I have just discovered a really neat idea... knitted dish scrubbies on Berlin's Whimsy blog. This is something I will have to try. They are made from tulle and cotton. I think they would be a fantastic alternative to metal pot scrubbers!

NEWS | BBC Destroys Cute Knitted Versions of Doctor Who Monsters

Interesting news from blogland; copied directly from io9
I'm not a big letter-writing campaign person, but a line has been crossed when the BBC starts taking away cute knitted dolls that look like Doctor Who monsters. Apparently some kind of copyright nonsense inspired a wanker at BBC legal to force the nice knitter at Mazzmatazz to remove all the cool patterns posted there for people who wanted to make plush animals out of the Ood (above) and several others. Let remind you that the Ood are born with their brains in their hands, sing psychically, and have already been oppressed enough by humans. Now I am deprived of these cute yarn monsters and I am angry. Please write to the BBC and complain. The cruelty must stop! [EFF]

idea; cheap & easy fabric shopping bags

wisdom of the moon has a really neat idea for making supermarket bags - use thrifted sheets! I think they look fantastic and of course they save the planet from all that plastic!!! I think I may even make some of my own.
